Italian Cheesorizo® Cheese-Sausage Pizza

Perfectly savory and satisfying for veggies and meat eaters alike!
Vegetarian, Gluten free if GF crusts are used


l extra large or 2 medium pizza crusts

1/4 cup tomato paste

1 TB dried oregano

1 TB dried basil

2 garlic cloves crushed

1 TB olive oil

6 oz chub Italian Cheesorizo®

8 oz grated Italian cheese blend or mozzarella

4 cremini mushrooms sliced thin

1 red bell pepper sliced thin

4 oz sliced black olives

2 TB fresh basil chopped


Heat oven to 350 or for more flavor, use a pizza stone on a BBQ grill

Place crust on cookie sheet or a peel if using grill to bake

Combine tomato paste, dried spices, garlic and olive oil and spread on crusts

Sprinkle cheese on top of sauce

Add bell pepper, olives, and mushrooms

Crumble uncooked Cheesorizo® on top (for even more flavor, saute crumbles first)

Bake until cheese is melted and crust is crisp about 25 minutes in oven on cookie sheet or 15 on hot pizza stone on grill

Top with fresh basil
